Colorado Veterans Alliance Congressional Report Card

  • by: ColoradoVets

The 111th Congress has been in session for several months and in that time out elected officials have voted and been briefed on several items affecting the veterans and active duty military communities.

This report covers numerous issues important to Colorado’s post 9/11 veterans, active duty troops and their families – an responsible end to

the Iraq War, closure of Guantanamo Bay, support for homeless veterans and relief for military families facing foreclosure.

Download a copy of the report here. http://coloradovets.org/files/…

The good news in this report are that the majority of Colorado’s congressional delegation scored well on the report.

The bad news is that two who should score high did not – Mike Coffman, who is an Iraq veteran and Doug Lamborn, who represents Colorado’s largest concentration of newer veterans and troops in the Pikes Peak region.

Contact our elected officials here. http://coloradovets.org/links….

If they scored well, thank them.  If they scored poorly, tell them to get with the program and do the right thing by our veterans and troops.
